Quality Test Engineering provides expertise, guidance, and management of issues encountered during design, development, build, integration, and product realization of Depot and Factory Test Equipment. The Quality Test Engineering scope includes collaboration in Peer Reviews and formal inspections of work products, including root cause analysis and corrective and preventative actions, continuous improvement, the procedure, deployment, and alignment of the quality engineering process. As a Software Quality Engineer you’ll ensure that testing activities allow units to meet customer requirements and system goals. In this role, you’ll identify existing or potential software issues and you’ll collaborate with software/systems personnel in application testing, including system, unit, regression, load and acceptance testing. Additional responsibilities will include: Testing new software to ensure that integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and technical specifications Analysis of test results to uncover and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues or interoperability flaws. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date. Required Skills: 6+ years’ experience in Quality Science or Engineering Experience with analytical skills, root cause analysis, or corrective/preventative action US Citizenship is required Desired Skills: Excellent PC skills and understanding in programming languages specifically Unix, C, C++ Experience with National Instruments Test Stand and Lab VIEW applications Knowledge of SQA methodology and tools Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of working effectively with Development Engineering and other functions Experience in the Change Control Board process and engagement with program's DM (Data Management) and CM (Configuration Management) personnel to ensure processes are in alignment with program's tailored requirements.
