IQE Procurement & Inventory Supervisor in Taunton, Massachusetts

The Procurement Supervisor will be responsible for procuring a wide variety of raw materials, equipment, components and services in line with specified levels of quality, delivery, price and total cost. This person will be responsible for buying and planning, inventory, shipping and receiving. He/She will participate in the strategic direction of the organization and help to assure that purchasing activity is effectively and efficiently integrated into business operations.The Procurement Supervisor must be hands on and willing to perform, as necessary, the daily tactical requirements within the group and capable of working on problems of diverse scope where analytical skills will be required. The Procurement Supervisor is a leader within the organization and will strive to meet and exceed external and internal customer expectations while committing to continuous improvement across operations and the supply chain.• Manages production planning, material and inventory control, shipping, receiving, and tactical purchasing staff. • Develop, implement and maintain strategic purchasing plans to meet the production plan and customer demand. Assure all steps in the procurement process are followed with extreme accuracy to avoid economic loss and customer dissatisfaction.• Maintain proper inventory levels for all raw materials and spare parts. This will include eliminating stock-outs, driving down excess, seeking recycling opportunities and ensuring adequate materials to meet PM schedules.• Lead continuous improvement opportunities to improve upon total cost and address issues with supplier performance.• Negotiate and write contracts as needed to purchase goods and services.• Identify, analyze and solve supply problems.• Create, maintain and manage metrics to ensure customer satisfaction and overall group performance.• Develops in-depth knowledge of key material market suppliers and cost infrastructure. Total cost of ownership improvement. Provide rigorous analysis of spend data to prioritize and launch sourcing initiatives within designated spend categories.• Manage supplier relationships and performance to meet company expectations and objectives. Support strategic supplier reviews and coordinate supplier scorecards that offer a collaborative approach between IQE and their chosen suppliers; identifying key metrics that harnesses quality product, uninterrupted supply, business growth and technology development; mutual successes that benefit both companies. Partake in MRB (Material review boards) as required.• Policies and procedures – capable of making recommendations and improvement’s which will improve effectiveness and efficiency, in quality, cycle time and cost. Streamline and implement templates for procurement activities including purchase orders, terms and conditions, cost models, procurement specifications and work procedures.• Ensure production materials are brought into the stockrooms in conjunction with the Approved Vendor List (AVL).Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis on supply chain management, procurement, finance or related discipline is required.

Minimum of 3-5 years of business experience in high-paced manufacturing or procurement operation is mandatory.

Should have strategic direct sourcing experience in components and commodities associated with advanced crystal growth manufacturing/semiconductors.

Candidate must be highly effective at initiating and leading cross-functional teams and developing cross-functional understanding.

Must possess excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Intermediate or advanced Excel and PowerPoint is essential.

Up to 10% domestic and international travel may be required.
