Position Responsibilities\Requirements:

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Team has daily interaction with DTC, SWIFT, FED

  • Must have detailed knowledge of Trade Life Cycle, Custody Settlement and Investigation

  • Must be able to understand and create control around Global Custody processes and ensure an effective risk control framework to mitigate losses is in place

  • Work as part of the global team performing follow the sun hand offs to ensure a smooth global coverage for global clients.

  • Keep abreast of business developments and monitor the implementation of all activities and initiatives of the department; e.g., develop and recommend tactical and strategic plans, develop and implement operational procedures, policies and guidelines, specific and job related training, identify internal and external facing technology enhancement opportunities, etc.

  • Adhere, provide guidance and ensure subordinates comply with the Audit/ Risk Management guidelines and company / regulatory requirements of FIS, etc., pertaining to the operations; e.g., banking practices, legislation, regulations, business continuity and disaster recovery management, policies and guidelines

  • Drive technical and operational readiness to meet challenges be it from business or market changes

  • Establish and maintain relationships with operations & middle office contacts at clients

  • High level of client service focus; provide operations subject matter expertise and value added services to clients where required and espond to and resolve client inquiries on a timely manner

  • The selected candidate is required to directly talk to the senior custody stake holders, understand their process/systems and integrate those processes into the FIS operations environment

  • Partner with client service teams to help change client behavior where required to remove manual processes.

  • Manage end to end service delivery of various functions within Global Custody Business; closely monitoring and reporting KPIs to all stakeholders and achieving operational and financial targets or division’s services

  • Act as a main contact point to effectively communicate response to day to day queries and issues with internal departments, customers, service providers or team leader as applicable on relevant inquiries, matters or complaints.

  • Working with various internal teams such as trade processing, prematching, settlements, cash processing, account opening and asset servicing to process transactions and resolve any exceptions on a timely manner.

  • Selects, trains, develops and leads an efficient and effective processing team. .

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Prior experience in Custody/Settlement/Securities Markets Operations domain

  • Knowledge of Global markets and settlement practices

  • Sound knowledge of custody operations to drive process and system efficiency

  • Ensure that Global Custody is delivered in a robust control environment, with clear insight to emerging risks

  • Excellent grasp and understanding of trade lifecycle

  • Operate effectively and independently in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines, and can prioritize one’s own work to achieve them

  • Knowledge of processing administration and processing activities and controls

  • Proficiency to supervise, lead and manage effectively staff members; Strong people management skills

  • Excellent problem solving, team and time management skills managing multiple deadlines for self and others

  • Leadership experience in a business, operational role

  • Demonstrated experience in managing change
