Customer Service Representative The primary responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative are taking orders and entering orders into the company computer system with accuracy and timeliness and to help customers obtain the information and service they require from Trans-Mate to operate their businesses effectively. Specific Job Responsibilities ? Take orders that customers place by phone. ? Enter orders received by phone, fax and e-mail into the company computer system (FACTS). ? Find and effectively communicate answers and solutions to customer enquiries (e.g. order status), problems and complaints. ? Maintain orderly files of order-related paperwork. ? Prepare and update operational performance reports, commission reports and sales reports in support of Operations and Sales. ? Communicate well and often with Shipping and Manufacturing about the order requirements of customers. ? Proactively contact local car wash customers regarding their product inventory with the goal of minimizing customer stock-outs and maximizing delivery efficiency and effectiveness. ? Answer phone calls during lunch and break periods and otherwise as needed. The successful candidate will have a pleasant and professional phone demeanor and will have the ability to maintain calm during crises big and small. Good computer skills are very important as are attention to detail and accuracy. Good oral and written communication skills are essential when working with customers and when working with shipping, manufacturing and sales teammates. Previous customer service experience is desired. This position is full time permanent and is hourly. Working hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00-3:30. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
