Job Description: IIS’s Program Management Organization is currently seeking a Development Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead for the Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS) program in the Air Traffic Systems (ATS) business area. The Development IPT Lead will oversee, organize, and lead a team of Systems, Electrical and Software engineering professionals who are tasked with the ongoing evolution of the design and development of air traffic systems for use throughout the United States. This position would work with the Program Management Office personnel and be responsible for the overall performance of Engineering Development on STARS. The Development IPT lead would be responsible for overall execution of approximately $80M worth of engineering design and development efforts. This includes risk and opportunity management, contract change proposals, and cost and schedule requirements. The position will require coordination across customers to include the FAA, Air Force, Army and Navy, as well as, Raytheon cross functional organizations that contribute to the deployment effort. The Deployment IPT Lead will be responsible for coordinating engineering design, development and execution via the integrated MRP system with Raytheon functional organizations to include QA, CM, Supply Chain and Deployment. Required Skills: The Development IPT Lead will have at least 10 years of Air Traffic Control management/Lead experience that includes the following competencies: 5-10 years of experience managing engineering design and development teams Possess strong communication, analytical skills, and organization capabilities. Background managing technically complex programs, including cost, schedule, earned value management, risk management and technical performance The demonstrated ability to be a hands-on leader who will engage with all levels within the organization Strong team building and mentoring skills The ability to work effectively in a multi-task environment, and possess good project management skills. Analyze deployment execution risk, cost & schedule variances, and develop performance improvement plans Experience with change management Partner with PM and team to drive flawless execution and predictable financial and schedule results Detail orientated and capable of working in an autonomous environment. Strong communication skills and be comfortable in performing presentations for customers. Microsoft office suite experience Prior PM/IPT/CAM experience at greater than $20M per year FAA security clearance, or the ability to obtain such clearance U.S. Department of Defense Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one Prior air traffic engineering management on prior federal government/airport authority contract experience is preferred.
