Oracle Enterprise Analytics Industry Architect in Marlborough, Massachusetts
Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.
As a Master Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.
Acknowledged authority within the Corporation. Acts as a leader of large-scale company initiatives. Viewed by peers as a leader and top contributor and by line management as a key business partner. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. BA/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.

As an Enterprise Analytics Industry Architect onthe Oracle Utilities Analytics team, you will join the utility industry slargest SaaS Analytics practice and will be critical to the future directionand growth of our analytics business. You will be part of a sales team thatdelivers a best-in-class solution to utilities that leverages their data to toquickly solve their business problems in areas such as revenue protection,distribution operations and energy efficiency.
You willbe responsible for positioning and selling as well as demoing and developing adata architecture for our Analytics solution offering. In this role youwill be a trusted advisor and industry and technical expert. The idealcandidate has a solid technical background in the areas described below, alongwith a good understanding of the utility industry in general, and meter systemsand meter data in particular.
Thefollowing tasks are examples of the responsibilities:
Deliver Demonstrations and Sell he Value of the Analytics Solutions as acritical part of the sales team
Meet with business and IT representatives of the clients to gatherrequirements on data sources, IT systems, and other technical considerations.
Define specifications for the various analytical functions thatwill meet the client s business needs.
Perform or direct various ad-hoc analytical queries required tofulfill customer engagements.
Communicate regularly with customer representatives and otherOracle Utilities Analytics management personnel.
Actively seek opportunities to provide additional services toexisting clients.
5-10 years total work experience with a minimum of 4 years asa project manager, sales engineer or quantitative analyst/consultant with somemanagement and client facing experience.
Degree in a technical or quantitative field, preferablyengineering, science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or computer science.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral along with client management experience.
Solid foundation in data analysis and developing analyticmodels (Excel).
Experiencein translating business requirements into data requirements, as well asinterfaces and analysis specifications.
Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
Travel required 50-75% of time.
Additional Preferred Requirements:
Experience in the electric, gas or water utility industry isa plus - specific experience within meter-to-cash, energy efficiency, and/ornetwork planning and operations is ideal.
SaaS software delivery experience.
Ability to write basic database queries to validate output tobe delivered to clients.
