We are looking for an Electrical Test Technician for R & D. This position based in Hingham, MA.

In this role you will help develop, design and manufacturer automatic transfer switches, paralleling switchgear, and power control systems. Your testing expertise will help our organization improve its ability to make the world a safer and more reliable place: think hospitals, data centers, utilities, mass transportation, and other aspects of life as we know it, that needs reliable power systems.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing tests, analyzing, and documenting results.

  • Building product prototypes for testing. Building test fixtures to interact with the prototypes.

  • Leading the test laboratory area and maintaining test equipment.

  • Collaborating with Product Managers and R&D Project Managers in the requirement definition concerning the testability of the requirement.

  • Analyzing requirements to define test cases.

  • Performing requirements verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete and conforming to standards.

  • Participating in design reviews. Identifying potential technical problems or design flaws.

  • Participating in the evolution/implementation of product development processes and tools.

  • Analyzing customer feedback.

  • Interacting with internal team members such as support representatives, developers, technical writers, project managers, and quality assurance personnel.

  • Planning, coordinating, and tracking activities in her / his area of technical responsibility.

  • Working in a self-managed and target oriented manner, and thus contributing to the team results.

  • Monthly UL inspector coordination and documentation

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of an Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in electrical technology.

  • 3 Years minimum experience in direct or related subject areas in testing of electrical distribution products.

  • Ability to travel 10%

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or other relevant engineering field preferred. Equivalent years of experience to be considered.

  • The pay range for this position is $78K - $106K. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
