Job Summary:

Create and support functional test development for scientific instrumentation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Publish LabVIEW based test programs used to perform automated instrument level testing

  • Develop test methods/scripts to run Linux based OS functional testing

  • Work with existing processor based self-test scripts and adapt to support production test needs

  • Provide production debug support for new product designs to resolve both software and hardware manufacturing and design faults

  • Work closely with design engineering, to identify areas for product improvement through DFM

  • Develop all processes, fixtures, test programs and equipment utilized in manufacturing and ensure adequate documentation including but not limited to, test plans, product test specifications, equipment functional specifications, system documentation, user guides, troubleshooting guides

  • Design and document test validation processes for new products

General Education and Background Requirements:

  • BSEE or equivalent with background in software and hardware test development

  • 10+ years of Test Engineering experience or equivalent

  • 7+ years of LabVIEW experience and ability to create programs to support test upgrades (experience with TestStand is a plus)

  • Strong skills in Analog and Digital circuit design to support debug efforts

  • Familiarity with Linux OS and test scripts

  • Familiarity with instrument calibration & application of measurement test limits

  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
