Role in Summary

Whirlpool is currently seeking qualified candidates for Continuous Improvement Technicians.

This role will be based in Fall River, MA working with our Commercial Laundry manufacturing engineering team. This location produces large commercial laundry dryers and washers.

1 st Shift Hours - 8 AM - 4:30 PM

Salary 28.25 an hour

Your responsibilities will include

  • Drive continuous improvement around the facility, reduce waste in the process, create and design robust processes, and improve efficiency in the value stream

  • Show improvement through process measurements and documentation, tangible and factual measurements (time reduction, dollar reduction, downtime reduction, reduction in errors, reduction in defects, etc)

  • Create a new processes , standardized work instructions will be developed and trained, in order to maintain a sustainable process, all through a focus on the 5S methodology

  • lead continuous improvement projects, work in cross-functional teams with materials, engineers, suppliers, quality, fabrication, programmers, supervisors, and leadership

  • Self- lead your projects, use the Whirlpool tools, document data, and show clear improvements

  • Support production to meet production demands as needed. You will be required to support lean shop to execute projects as needed

Minimum requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 3+ years of Manufacturing Experience

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Project Leadership Experience

  • LEAN Manufacturing Knowledge

  • Self-Lead, problem solving

  • Experience in Change management of new principles, concepts, or processes
