Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Project Manager for employment in the Chelmsford, MA office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Project management – tracking scope, schedule and budget, adherence to QA/QC guidelines

  • Previous leadership/mentoring and business development experience

  • Manage a portfolio of new and existing projects to achieve as-sold, as-delivered results

  • Financial management of projects and programs

  • Manage, support and/or lead project teams on the master planning, design and construction oversight of storm water, water and wastewater treatment and conveyance systems

  • Supervising the work of multi discipline design team

  • Preparing engineering services proposals, cost estimates, and schedules

  • Preparing Project Work plans and Health and Safety Plans

  • Overseeing and preparing engineering reports and documentation

  • Supervise, mentor and provide support for junior engineering staff

  • Lead technical designs and evaluations

  • Performing Independent Technical Reviews

  • Interface with clients and regulatory agencies

  • Prepare and make presentations to existing or potential clients as well as regulators

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Civil or Environmental engineering with an emphasis in water/waste water or other related field required

  • 8+ years of experience managing projects

  • Registered Professional Engineer licensed in New England

  • Exceptional technical skills and experience working on storm water/water/wastewater projects

  • Demonstrated Project Management experience

  • Strong commitment to ensuring safe project execution

  • Must have excellent organizational skills and be able to work well in a team environment

  • Makes decisions independently on engineering problems and methods

  • Ability to manage small teams of discipline engineers and designers

  • Self-starter and ability to take initiative

  • Client focused service perspective is a must

  • Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Chemical, Civil or Environmental engineering with an emphasis in water/waste water or other related field required

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Knowledge of the installation and construction techniques required in the field and the potential obstacles that may be encountered
