Sr. Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager

We are looking for an experienced project manager engineer with experience in the consulting work with Commercial products.

Qualifications:

BSME required, MSME preferred

  • 5-7 years of technical design and engineering analysis, doing product and system design, not components.

  • Broad based M.E. Design experience in 1 or more of the following markets:

  • Robotics, Computing, Networking, Communications, Consumer Products, Biotechnology and/or Medical Devices (concept through clinical controls).

  • Mechanism design experience

  • Hands-on design and technical project management of:

  • 3-5 full product development cycles involving high volume tooled products.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Some background working in smaller companies.

  • Some consulting experience preferred

  • Solid experience working with clients and suppliers

  • Supplier sourcing and qualification experience

  • Working knowledge of design using Injection Molded Plastics and/or Sheet Metal

  • Strong CAD in SolidWorks (Pro/E a plus)

  • Hands-on performance in shop/lab work

PLUS:

  • Strong M.E Analysis experience in:

  • Strength of materials

  • Heat transfer

  • Shock and vibration

  • Design for manufacturability for both low volume and high volume, tooled products

  • Project Budgeting/Scheduling/Management

  • Project and Technical Reporting
