Position Description

The Schiffer electrochemical engineering laboratory at Harvard University invites applications for a postdoctoral position in electrochemical engineering reactor design and characterization, beginning in October 2024, or soon thereafter. The applicant will be working on building electrochemical devices for new reactions. The candidate will work closely with Professor Zachary Schiffer starting projects related to sustainable nitrogen cycle reactions . The position is for one year, renewable for two additional years. Basic Qualifications

PhD in chemistry, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, engineering, physics, or similar fields by the expected start date.

Additional Qualifications

Applicant should have experience in a chemistry wet lab and specifically should have experience synthesizing catalysts such as metal oxide nanoparticles for electrochemical devices. The applicant should have experience with electrochemistry and building electrochemical devices. A successful candidate is driven and independent, and the candidate will be responsible for helping the PI to start new projects and help mentor new graduate and undergraduate students.
