Duties & Responsibilities Harvard’s Advanced Leadership Initiative (ALI) is seeking a results-oriented colleague to join its Candidate Development Team. ALI is a bold innovation formed by faculty from Harvard’s schools of business, education, government, law, medicine and public health that is educating and deploying accomplished leaders at later life stages. Our Fellows are pursuing path-breaking projects to save the oceans, improve college affordability, increase support for mental health, save children from poverty, and create job opportunities for veterans, refugees and inner city entrepreneurs.The Fellowship Coordinator will provide key administrative support to the full cycle of candidate development and selection as a member of a small, collegial team. Reporting to the Fellowship Director and Fellowship Co-Director, s/he will: • Provide proactive support throughout the candidate development process, from initial expression of interest through final decision-making by the Faculty Selection Committee.• Prepare and distribute targeted materials, nomination kits, and other information on the ALI Fellowship to prospective candidates.• Gather information from and convey information to Fellowship candidates in order to advance their candidacies.• Schedule candidate interviews with faculty and collect feedback on these conversations. • Prepare accurate, clear information needed to finalize candidate dossiers in advance of each selection deadline. • Prepare and send responses to candidates after each selection round.• Update and maintain candidate databases, preparing detailed status reports for review by senior leadership.• Generate detailed breakdowns of the candidate pool, by geography, experience, social impact interest, etc. • Support smooth on-boarding of international Fellows, collaborating with the Harvard International Office to insure the accuracy and timely delivery of documents to comply with University and government requirements. • Prepare and send targeted communications to domestic and international organizations, nominators, and other sources of potential candidates, cultivating global awareness of the ALI Fellowship.• Other duties as assigned. Must be able to work some evening hours and weekends, if needed.

Basic Qualifications Minimum of three years administrative support and customer service experience.

Additional Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. • Must be extremely flexible, customer-focused, and a proactive self-starter. • Ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Strong experience with office productivity software and database use/management, preferred. • Judgment and ability to interact effectively with senior-level, high profile customers who have exacting standards. • Able to collaborate with the entire ALI team, while taking ownership for individual responsibilities. • Interest in contributing to the compelling social impact mission of ALI. • Must possess the maturity and discretion to maintain high level of confidentiality.
