Bio Manufacturing Technician

1 year contract-to-hire

12 Hour Rotating Night Shift

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process equipment and materials for manufacturing use including performing equipment functional checks, start up, basic maintenance and operation of single use bioreactors, purification columns and skids.

  • Perform equipment function checks, preventative maintenance, standardization and calibration, and testing of in-process samples using analytical equipment following written procedures. Clean production clean-rooms and remove waste materials.

  • Use and Navigate with basic to moderate understanding manufacturing systems for process operation and process performance. Must be able to understand company policies, programs and procedures commensurate with their experience under the guidance of a qualified trainer

  • Reviews departmental documentation (e.g., Standard Operating Procedures, PBR’s), data, and trends. Participates in revisions, providing input, as necessary.

Qualfications:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant scientific discipline

  • Experience with bioprocessing including working with bioreactors, skids, purification columns, etc.

  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed

  • Will consider recent Bachelor's/Master's graduates with relevant academic or internship experience with cell culture/harvesting, large biomolecule purification, and exposure to bioprocessing equipment. Must be able to articulate this experience.
