UX/UI Senior Designer - Dyn

Preferred Qualifications

As

a Senior User Experience Designer at Dyn, you’ll help build the experience of

the brand through every touchpoint, from our marketing site to our product UI.

Along with our team, you’ll create and build upon workflows and interfaces to

make them easy for users to understand and adopt, as well as visually appealing

and consistent. You will work with key stakeholders including customers,

product management, engineering and leadership to design experiences from

wireframes through high fidelity that deliver innovative solutions and meet

business goals.

You’ll

collaborate across the business with our marketing, product and engineering

teams to create and iterate upon designs, patterns, styles and tools that

continue to enhance our overall user experience. You will also collaborate

externally to synthesize user feedback and incorporate that into the design

process - a passion for user-centered design is highly desirable.

This

position reports to our VP, User Experience Design.

PrimaryResponsibilities:

  • Translating specs into wireframesand mockups that lead to intuitive user experiences

  • Executing visual design as a partof team to meet user and business goals

  • Collaborating on user experienceplanning with key stakeholders

  • Synthesize user feedback, identifyproblems and devise solutions

  • Transform ideas and mockups intohigh fidelity concepts and designs

  • Work with engineering teams toadvocate for users and develop designs that deliver value and emphasizeease-of-use

  • Evangelize and advanceorganization’s understanding and adoption of user experience bestpractices, tools and documentation

Experience:

  • Five or more year’s experience inuser experience design for web applications and digital products

  • Strong conceptualization abilityand visual communication ability

  • Exceptional design skills with ahigh attention to detail

  • Expertise working with UXapplications such as photoshop, illustrator, sketch and invision

  • Demonstrable experience of usercentered design processes and desire to

  • Experience with using and creatinguser interface design patterns

  • Deep understanding of usabilityand accessibility standards

  • Experience with SAAS businessmodel and building UX environments for customer lifecycle is desired

  • A strong sense of time management,deadlines, and the ability to adapt diverse challenges and competingpriorities

  • Knowledge of the latest UX bestpractices

  • Experience in incorporating UX inthe AGILE methodology

  • Exceptional collaboration,presentation and communication skills

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Responsible for creating, evaluating and modifying prototypes to support evolving hardware and software application development.

As a member of the User Experience team, you will develop and apply software design/usability processes in the investigation of technical problems. May develop user profiles, with emphasis on human error control, display issues, visual interaction, physical manipulation and task and objective analyses. Provide product usability, evaluation and support to product development teams, including the analysis and investigation of applications/systems including tactile methods, visual graphics, web, multimedia, voice response and conversational user interaction. May assist in developing design concept and implementation, providing input on user design considerations. May produce specifications describing user needs and internal structures for product in development.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically four years of software engineering or related experience needed.
