Jacobs Engineering Group (Jacobs), a leading international engineering/architecture firm, is seeking a Structure Engineer for tunnel projects. Specific duties include structural analysis for underground structures and coordinating with other engineering groups.
Candidates shall demonstrate ability to design and develop structural details with minimum supervision. Candidates shall exhibit a high degree of oral and written communication skills and be able to be a team player.
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering is required
Masters in Structural Engineering is preferred
At least 4 years of design experience is required
Ability to run STAAD or STRUDL models for a complex structures
Understanding soil structure interaction and modeling using Plaxis or FLAC is preferred
Excellent analytical and technical writing skills
Experience in support of excavation design is a plus
