Leads, consults or oversees multiple architectural engagements. Works on highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge within or across technical domains: technical, solutions, business or information. Leads domain specific architecture. Works across multiple technical and functional domains.
In this role you will:
Leads and coordinates the technical and business discussions relative to future architectural direction across multiple teams or complex product line(s)
Analyzes, designs and develops a roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint
Reviews and/or analyzes and develops architectural at domain level and across multiple teams
Participates in the EA business-wide and domain governance model
Contributes to the development of software, data and technology platforms that are service-oriented with reusable components across teams (multiple teams) that can be orchestrated together into different methods for different businesses
Leads the research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities to for multiple teams or complex scenarios
Provides leadership, technology guidance and mentors others throughout the domain
This role is set apart by the management and strategy of a sub-business, function, large P&L or geography and the breadth of the role. This leader may manage other managers or individual contributors. Dotted line management of other managers will be common to control number of layers and to provide developmental opportunities to new directors. Director may be a dotted line manager to lead other managers with products within their scope of influence. In some rare cases, Directors may manage other managers
The leader is both a technical leader within the function and also is responsible for developing and coaching his/her employees within the function.
This leader will be influencing from a strategic and technical standpoint across the function and the business. Leaders also need to be able to influence beyond the scope of their immediate business segment, potentially across modalities and CoEs
Financial responsibility and accountability
Develop peer, cross-functional and cross-business relationships to maximize best practice sharing and team effectiveness
Responsible for management activities including recruiting, development, performance management, compensation, organization and teaming
Select, train, develop, manage and lead the people
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a technical area (Architecture, Software, or Information Technology) or (a high school diploma / GED with at least 8 years of experience in Information Technology or Software)

Must be willing to work out of an office located in Atlanta, GA, Detroit, MI or San Ramon, CA
Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or other Public Cloud Professional Architecture Certification
Demonstrated Hands On Experience Developing Solutions with Cloud Orchestration Tools (Chef, Puppet, Salt, etc.)
Strong Knowledge of IP Networking including VPC’s, VPN’s, VRF, DNS, Load-balancing, and Firewalls
Demonstrated Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle and Associated Tools
Understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA and REST)
Proven ability to lead change across large platforms / functional areas using innovative technology solutions
Demonstrated customer focus – evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer; builds strong customer relationships; creates processes with customer viewpoint; partners with customers to help shape their future initiatives
Strong analytical and strong problem solving skills - communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information/data to make decisions; anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve; creates actionable strategies and operational plans
