Bio-Techne Simple Western Sales Specialist (Boston) in Boston, Massachusetts

Position Summary:

If so, Selling the Patented Simple Western and Single Cell Western Technology could be the role you always dreamed of.

The Sales Specialist will be responsible for sales of Simple Western systems and Single Cell Western systems, and all related Bio-Techne consumables and services. The Simple Western Sales Specialist will develop and execute strategic plans for the portfolio to increase sales and grow market share in the territory. This is a remote field based sales role with the ideal candidate living within the designated territory which includes the Boston, MA area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales targets through application of consultative selling methods

  • Maintain and develop incremental business in existing and new accounts

  • Work closely with the full Commercial Team to ensure we provide a coordinated approach to customers and promote all the solutions Bio-Techne can provide.

  • Field sales located in the assigned territory and visiting customers

  • Familiar with standard scientific methods, tools, techniques, reagents & high value capital equipment relevant to Bio-Techne’s product line

  • Provide accurate sales forecasts for both Simple Western instruments and consumables

  • Use SalesForce.com to manage all active leads, customers, and opportunities. Dashboards will be used to track progress and KPIs

  • Plan and execute account management to accomplish goals and follow company vision

  • Provide technical support, seminars, and demonstrations to new and existing customers

  • Ensure that customers understand the value proposition, features & benefits, competitive advantages, and applications of all relevant products

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • 5+ Years proven sales experience in the Life Science tools space

  • High value Capital Equipment sales experience, or equivalent

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science field required

  • PhD or Masters degree in a Science field an advantage

  • Demonstrated sales performance. Preference with 50K+ instrumentation

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Sales to biopharmaceutical/Lifesciences market required

  • Excellent use of Salesforce.com

  • Consultative selling as an approach to selling value

  • Broad understanding of a variety of scientific techniques and research areas of interest (e.g., Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Sequencing, High-Value Capital Equipment,

  • Highly motivated, independent, and a strong desire to succeed.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal, presentation, and time & territory management skills.

  • Ability to speak with customers on a technical level.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Knowledge of MS Office, PowerPoint, and excellent use of Salesforce.com a plus.

  • Ability to work with a high degree of independence, a self-starter.

  • Excels and interested in working in a team environment.

  • Can do attitude a must!
