Navigant’s Healthcare Practice provides objective, practical, results-oriented assistance to address the business challenges facing healthcare executives and their organizations including: Enterprise-wide strategic plans; mergers and affiliations; business plan development and validation; program and service line analysis; new market opportunity and strategic positioning assessment; market assessment and forecasting; pricing and reimbursement strategy, design and implementation; and hospital-physician collaboration models. Navigant Healthcare professionals help design, develop, and implement solutions that create high performing healthcare organizations. Sub-practices include Strategic Solutions, Government Healthcare Solutions, Physician Enterprise Solutions, Revenue Management Solutions, and Performance Improvement.

This role can be based in any of the following locations: Chicago, IL; Washington, DC; Atlanta, GA; Seattle, WA; Boston, MA; Minneapolis, MN; Tampa, FL; Denver, CO; Indianapolis, IN; New York, NY.

This is a highly challenging position that draws heavily upon all of the analytical, creative, and interpersonal skills essential to effective general strategy consulting. The ability to assume complete ownership of significant projects while at the same time being a part of and leading a close knit team is essential. Senior Consultants must organize their own tasks and schedules in carrying out substantial business analyses and delivering high quality, client-ready work. As our clients are often large, complex systems, Senior Consultants must demonstrate considerable poise and business maturity to perform effectively and add value in the client environment.

  • Graduating with a MBA or MPH/MHA/MPA by June 2018 required

  • Healthcare provider or fellowship experience and/or education in health economics is strongly desired

  • Previous consulting experience is preferred (strategy consulting experience a plus) (3-5 years for Senior Consultant; 5-7 years for Managing Consultant)

  • Project management experience required for Managing Consultant consideration

  • Strong knowledge of and application of healthcare research resources

  • Understanding of market/financial analysis in context of healthcare provider needs

  • Strong quantitative and organizational skills a must

  • Must be able to demonstrate written and oral communication and presentation skills

  • Power point and Excel skills are a must, Access, SAS, R or SQL skills desired

  • Heavy travel (east coast to west coast) is required

  • Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills

  • Work as a member of a team as well as be a self-motivator with ability to work independently

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment to coordinate work

  • Frequently travels by airplane, train or car as necessary to perform work at another location

  • Regularly uses close visual acuity and operates computer equipment to prepare and analyze and transmit data

  • Generally works in an office environment
