Job Description

As a Sales Agronomist, this individual will be responsible for:

  • Promote the sales of ICL Fertilizers products in the USA by applying & modifying established practices using sound agronomic principles.

  • Support and promote field trials for new fertilizers with ICLF Client, local Universities and other organizations.

  • Customer relationship establishment / management.

  • Technical selling understanding to growers and distributors.

  • Manage, maintain, and grow the base business in the assigned regional geography.

  • Must possess a strong understanding of sound agronomic practices in a multitude of row, vegetable, and other crops.

  • Mentor / manage grower and distributor relationships supporting and growing product demand at both levels for ICLF products.

  • Provide technical support to end use customers on the use of ICLF fertilizers.

  • Write and publish papers in peer review and general journals.

  • Know and understand the financial expectations of the sales budget.

Required Skills

  • MSc (or higher) degree in agronomy or related field with coursework in plant science, soil science, plant health and plant nutrition strongly preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years of commercial and / or technical experience with a local or International company involved with Fertilizers.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • PC Skills to include: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.

  • Must have excellent decision making and problem solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to contribute in a team setting while being an effective self-starter able to manage daily activities to achieve long term goals.

  • Must be able to manage personal goals and corporate objectives while keeping a customer centric focus.

  • Must be able to travel overseas.

  • Must be able to travel up to 50% mainly in Mid-West & East Coast. Some in other markets also as opportunities arise.
