CCP Industries Regional Sales Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

CCP Industries, established in 1921 in Cleveland, Ohio is a manufacturer & direct supplier of non-woven and woven wiping cloths, cleaning supplies & safety products.

We are currently searching for a Regional Manager in the New England region, managing 8-13 sales reps. The ideal candidate will work closely with this high performing team to provide leadership and training, and overall support. We are only considering individuals with a proven track record in sales management within an industrial field.

The Regional Manager is a full-time sales manager in a specific geographic regional territory, this person will be responsible for achieving or exceeding annual regional sales, profit, and profitability goals while supporting company-wide strategies and direction.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Achieving and/or exceeding the annual revenue and profit goals for the Area of Supervision (region). Should be able to make critical business decisions with little margin for error on a tight timeline.

  2. Assisting in recruiting, retaining, training and developing the human resources of the region.

  3. Supporting CCP’s strategies, mission, vision, policies, procedures, and core values and conveying this to the Area Manager team.

  4. Create a work environment in which all employees receive equal treatment and opportunities to learn, develop, succeed, prosper, and potential promotion within the region and the company as a whole.

  5. Travel routinely as dictated by the current tasks and geography of a given region.

  6. Implement and maintain all aspects of the sales management system which include analysis, planning, implementation, monitoring, and performance evaluation.

  7. Coordinate and facilitate activity between the outside sales force and the internal support group to ensure business growth and customer satisfaction.

  8. Maintain multiple contact points with the entire team: attend and contribute to weekly phone calls with Area Managers, live meetings as directed by the Home office, conference calls with VP of Sales, and other meetings as directed.

  9. Assume responsibility for personally contacting and developing meaningful business relationships with key accounts within the region while assisting the Area Managers in developing similar relationships with other key customers

  10. Request from the VP of Sales any pricing deviation within the compliance of CCP’s overall programs and approval processes.

  11. Request any trade shows in the region to the VP of Sales.

  12. Focus and reinforce marketing and incentive programs to grow revenue in the region.

  13. Responsible for the Controllable Operating Profit (“COP”) of the region.

14 Participate in the annual Area Manager and region revenue and profit quota setting.

  1. Communicate with the Home office and Sales team members via authorized communications networks and procedures.

  2. Act as liaison between the Home office and the Sales team members on all material issues, concerns, or problems.

  3. Must have the willingness and ability to travel to all areas of the region.

  4. Must have reliable transportation to make in person sales calls and travel to areas of the region. This role cannot be performed without a working car.

  5. Responsible for notifying the VP of Sales of any National Account opportunities in the region and for servicing the relationships if requested by the VP of Sales.

  6. Maintain a valid Driver’s License at all times (Motor Vehicle Reports will be checked periodically).

  7. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers,clients, co-workers, and management.

  8. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  1. High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred

  2. Sales management in the industrial field with proven success

Required Length and Type of Experience:

  1. A minimum of five years of sales and sales management experience, 10 years preferred. Experience to include managing a team of sales personnel in a large regional geography.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be physically and mentally able to work 40+ hours per week, Monday through Friday traveling to and from daily in person customer visits.
  • Must have the capability to constantly transport appx. 30 lbs. of samples (or up to 50 lbs. for items such as trade show equipment or luggage if applicable) in and out of vehicle for use at customer locations or other meetings.
  • Must be able to travel occasionally to the home office or other meeting destinations as required by the company (occasional long distance travel by car or commercial aircraft may be necessary).
  • Sales Management Positions will require the ability to frequently travel longer distances to work with subordinates.
  • Dexterity: Ability to make small movements such as typing, picking up small object, or pinching items together.
  • Communicating: Especially where one must frequently give and receive detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Average Visual Abilities: Average, Ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery including vehicles.
