State Street Global Technology Operations (GTO) – Process Excellence Office (PXO) is seeking a skilled and proven Project Manager Senior Consultant/VP. The individual contributor in this role will architect, design and develop multiple solutions within the PXO and its data analysis and data engineering teams. The candidate will be required to have a proven track record of delivery of technically advanced solutions in support of the initiatives underway and planned within the PXO which span multiple disciplines and business lines. The candidate should have outstanding insights into the existing and future State Street business, application and infrastructure environment and be able to investigate and apply new methods of data analysis and visualizations.
Specifically, the candidate:
Leads the design and development of the most critical and complex analysis projects
Serves or consultants on architecture of analysis process design
Architects and monitors system design and implementation of the most critical and complex data analytic projects.
Consults with business unit management as needed to analyze requirements and identify the optimal analytical solution to fit within existing technologies and comply with overall strategic direction.
Ensure clear and concise expression of design decisions to development, business teams, and senior IT management.
Proactively ensures minimum delays in systems deliverables, focuses on performance optimization for the total system.
Provides subject matter expertise in addressing complex projects and issues that encompass a wide range of internal and external systems, components, and processes.
Sets direction in evaluating and leveraging industry best practices.
May participate in technical architecture reviews of current and prospective systems, and the establishment of corporate technology standards.
15+ years of proven related financial services experience, including at least 8-10 years of IT software development; engineering background a plus;
Strong knowledge of both waterfall and agile SDLCs;
Very strong technology insights with demonstrated ability to work across business lines;
Strong problem solving skills and willingness to learn new business and technology;
Core analytics skills such as machine learning, analytic models, predictive algorithms, correlation models and data mining are a plus;
Technology background including programming skills in SQL, Python, R or Matlab as well as data storage such as RDBMS (Oracle), LDA (Hadoop) and visualization tools (Tableau, Qlik) are a plus;
Strong communication and collaboration skills with ability to work in a team environment including a global work model;
Demonstrated ability to interact and influence peers, managers and senior leaders;
Excellent interpersonal, communication, facilitation, presentation and negotiation skills;
Results oriented ownership mentality;
