This Program Coordinator II will be responsible for:
Managing all stewardship activities including timely receipting and acknowledgement of donor gifts, maintenance of calendars of foundation and grant proposals and reports, and other related activities.
Collaborating with the BTC’s database management staff on the upkeep and maintenance of accurate records.
Producing various fundraising reports and assisting in maintaining a Resource Development and Communications Division dashboard/Key Performance Indicator.
Playing a key role in planning and coordinating the logistics of several events, including a National Forum, donor cultivation events, and the centennial birthday celebration of the Center’s founder.
Conducting prospect research to identify new funding opportunities and qualify existing donors and prospects to facilitate gift solicitation.
Providing administrative support as needed and appropriate for Board meetings and other Board-related activities.
Assisting the Director of Resource Development and Communications in various special projects.
Assisting in developing and editing various fundraising and communications materials including foundation and grant reports and proposals, individual donor communications, and external marketing materials.
Collecting and editing all monthly and quarterly activity updates from BTC staff, and submitting to relevant colleagues within Boston Children’s Hospital and other external parties as directed.
Assisting in managing all social media channels, including the timely and consistent posting of updates, articles, etc.; growing BTC’s social media presence through new initiatives, campaigns, and strategies for engagement.
Overseeing and managing the publishing of BTC's newsletter for donors, partners, and other key stakeholders on a quarterly basis.
Partnering with marketing and communications colleagues across BTC to improve the quality and dissemination of information to external stakeholders.
Participating in the design and updating of BTC's website; once updated, maintaining and managing the website’s content.
Maintaining photo, video, and print archives.
Creating and maintaining a comprehensive press list for proactive communication.
To qualify, you must have:
Five years of experience in a marketing, communications, customer service, or fundraising preferred.
Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferred.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized and a willing self-starter.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop; advanced proficiency in all Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience working with diverse groups of donors or external clients, and strong customer service skills and instinct.
Prior event planning experience preferred.
Adaptability, creativity, and a passion for the Center’s mission.
