Marketing Coordinator

This is a virtual position and can be filled anywhere in the US

Job Summary:

The Marketing Coordinator assists with a full range of marketing activities and corporate communications. Responsibilities may include copy writing for internal and external communication assets, art direction, online marketing activities, data analysis, assisting with developing marketing strategies, brand management, social media activities, advertising, and vendor marketing activities. This includes working closely with consultants in the Traveler Engagement, Corporate Meetings & Total Collaboration Management practice areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Internal and external communications:

•Assist with copy writing and art directing internal and external communications in coordination with consultants

•Assist with new sales efforts

•Assist with creation of traveler engagement workshop materials pre- and post- workshop

•Assist with data analysis for total collaboration management and traveler engagement projects

•Collaborate with consultants to create innovative marketing strategies for clients

•Act as project manager for internal emerging practice projects

•Research and provide copy updates for emerging practice sales materials

•Manage asset library of client and internal deliverables

•Identify speaking opportunities and work with internal marketing teams to promote emerging practices

•Assist with practice area enhancements – Identify efficiencies and tools to boost overall performance

•Manage relationships with third party vendors

Marketing strategies

•Support the design, development and implementation of marketing plans for internal and external clients

•Lead market research initiatives

•Maintain competitor research and analysis

Vendor marketing activities

•Work closely with BCD Travel preferred vendors to develop and implement marketing plans for their services/products for BCD Travel customers and travel consultants.

•Prepare internal and client communications related to their services/products

•Assist with the implementation of marketing plans

Salesforce.com, as applicable

•Act as team informant for relevant updates

•Manage Traveler Engagement asset library

Website maintenance, as applicable

•Assist with client intranet updates per consultants direction

•Ensure new, clear, consistent and engaging information is posted regularly and is easily accessible

Qualifications

Essential:

•1-3 years of general marketing/communications experience

•Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, public relations, advertising or related field or equivalent experience

•Experience communicating through a variety of mediums including webinars, social media, solution briefs, and sales presentations.

•Experience coordinating marketing campaigns

•Proven understanding of how to use social media tools to effectively listen, communicate, and build relationships

•Experience with cross-channel / multi-channel marketing and implementing multi-channel communication strategies.

•Experience with CMS/CRM, online/database/email marketing tools and proficient in Microsoft Office applications (word processing, presentation creation, spreadsheets and graphics).

•Excellent verbal and journalistic writing/editing skills, social skills and good consulting skills

•Fluent in business English (spoken, written, editing)

•Project management

Preferred:

•Fluent in a second language a plus

•3+ years of general marketing experience

•Experience supporting a website

•Experience in managing and delivering webinars

•Proficiency with marketing automation (e.g. Salesforce, Pardot)

•Knowledge of layout/design and graphics

•Knowledge of web page design, analytics and social media

•Excellent presentation skills

•Experience in corporate travel management industry
