U.S. Bank Group Business Strategy Manager – CBBD in Boston, Massachusetts
Identify, participate, develop, implement, and evaluate longer term opportunities that provide competitive advantage within Community Banking and Branch Delivery (CBBD) Strategy and Transformation. Participates in meeting and task force activities to identify project goals, gains consensus on project steps, schedule and implementation procedures and estimates project costs; fosters cooperation and involvement from support team. Participates in project evaluation against estimated plans and costs; provides continuing support and service as required.
Anticipate trends and opportunities through insightful interpretation of research and develop novel company responses in line with overall business strategy and enterprise initiatives. Synthesize complex market and competitive information across multiple structures in the organization, anticipate market trends and customer needs, and transform analyses into innovative actionable plans for revenue growth, investment, or operational enhancement. Specific functions may include identification of opportunities, innovative market segmentation, business plan development, and performance analysis and evaluation. Build and maintain strong partnerships to accelerate growth; develop and implement marketing strategies.
Sustain profitability and growth of projects from conception to final implementation.
Provide strategic direction and leadership to pursue objectives of CBBD Strategy
Manages performance of project team, and evaluates overall performance
Managing projects for large, complex, and major projects that cross several business lines.
Prepares project status reports; makes alterations in project plan as needed
Work across virtual channels and partner with technology partners and user experience partners to deliver a unified customer experience as part of the OmniChannel Strategy.
Work across virtual channels and partner with technology partners.
Designs and manages change management programming for implementation and adoption of projects.
Partners with business line leaders and administration to deliver.
Create and maintain cost-effective programs for CBBD
Actively ensure compliance with all US Bancorp policies and procedures such as Code of Ethics and all Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security and suspicious activity reporting requirements, etc.
Ability to influence the execution of highly complex or specialized projects and to adapt precedent and make significant departures from traditional approaches to develop innovative solutions.
8 years banking experience - within retail, commercial or technology and operations, or consulting
Has knowledge/ understanding of financial industry, trends, and other involved strategy elements.
Strategic planning and Input
Project Management experience and/or certification; leading moderate to large scale projects
Exceptional Communication –verbal (presentations to execs, Senior leaders, large and small) and written (ppt , progress reporting)
Experience delivering professional presentations to senior executives and stakeholders
Superior analytical and problem solving skills.
Advanced skills in MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Word).
Ability work through others to resolve issues and manage stringent timelines for project deliverables.
Experience managing and leading teams to achieve business line goals through change management programming
Collaboration with other business lines
8 years banking leadership experience- preferred within retail, commercial or technology and operations
Experience delivering professional presentations to senior executives and stakeholders.
