Dell Advisor, Supply Chain in Bedford, Massachusetts

Job Description:

Assist with the procurement of RSA’s hardware products

  • Represent the Supply Chain work group as a member of cross-functional project teams to develop continuous improvement solutions for second tier suppliers

  • Work with the Supply Chain leader on primary suppliers as needed

  • Assist with supply chain management strategies to help increase efficiency and speed to obtain product

  • Provide operational support and guidance to ensure maximum productivity

  • Work closely with the Material Inventory Planners to ensure product is available and manufactured timely without issue

  • Collaborate with other departments to identify vulnerabilities and close operational gaps

  • Focus on cost management of secondary products

  • Make recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations

  • Coordinate purchasing of supplies and work with 3PL suppliers

  • Direct the movement, storage, or processing of inventory

  • Oversee the consigned inventory and manage the 3PL and provide bi-monthly meetings and assessments and make recommendations and maintain “agreed and acceptable” Levels of inventory

  • Manage the 3PL storage product to ensure correct levels and current inventory demand working with the forecasting team

  • Maintain supply chain practices in accordance with QMS policies and or ISO as applicable

  • Select best transportation for goods being supplied to RSA and/or Manufacturing to RSA and/or 3PL

  • Work with the Supply Chain team to qualify/maintain suppliers/ through checks-ins and measurements and work with the Owner of Supplier Scorecards as needed

  • Assist in the negotiation of prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders

  • Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities

  • Apply analytical skills to develop definition of formulas for metrics and KPIs

  • Report generation

  • Development of systems and procedures required to meet service levels and inventory turns

  • Manage issues through to resolution and evaluate the risk/reward scenarios

  • Utilize standard Lean Six Sigma principles to assist in the Supply Chain area

Hiring Criteria:

SAP ERP experience a plus

Strong Supply Chain experience required with knowledge of KPIs and cost savings

Experience coordinating with Asian factories

Experience level: 3-5 years in Supply Chain
