Philips Supplier Account Manager - Electro-Mechanical Sub-System Components in Andover, Massachusetts

In this role, you have the opportunity to

You will work closely with internal stakeholders (e.g. procurement peers, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality) and external suppliers mainly located in North America to develop and especially implement in the Region the strategy defined under the lead of the Global Commodity Manager at the lowest total cost (TCO). The scope covers both manufacturing and service (spare parts) for different Philips sites in the US. Accountable for overall supplier relationship management in the portfolio including overall cost out, supplier performance, contracting and supplier transfer.

You are responsible for

  • Manage a portfolio of 40M€ spend on electro-mechanical sub-systems dedicated to Medical equipment

  • Implement the Global strategy, promoting the preferred suppliers with the Business units

  • Lead Supplier performance evaluation

  • Drive contract and price negotiations

  • Gather relevant benchmark data, supply market intelligence information

  • Lead or participate in the RFQ generation and supplier selection process

  • Apply continuous improvement of processes & technologies to support materials & service

  • Contribute to supplier risk identification/assessment and propose mitigation plan

  • Ensures compliance to procurement Policy

  • Support Quality Team regarding supplier Quality assurance document collection

You are a part of

This role is part of the Global Commodity Management Team and will be located in Andover MA.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelors or Master degree (Business Administration and/or Engineering)

  • Minimum 5 years of strategic sourcing / commodity management experience in dynamic context

  • Broad experience with electro-mechanical commodities (motors, mechatronics, cables, batteries, power supplies and similar) required (medical industry a plus)

  • Recognized for leadership/influencing skills

  • Ability to work in a matrix and remote environment

  • Flexible, ability to deal with uncertainty in a challenging environment

  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written

  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
