Raytheon’s Electrical Design Directorate (EDD) provides engineering design, integration, test and production to core radar, sonar, torpedo and combat system competencies including process and control, integration and test, power systems, torpedo and sonar electronics, receivers and exciters, antennas and microwave subassemblies. EDD Test Engineering provides technical expertise to numerous manufacturing and development programs within the Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) business. This position can be a Salary Grade G08 (Sr. Test Engineer I) or G09 (Sr Test Engineer II) based on the candidate’s qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position. Sr. Test Engineer I / Sr. Test Engineer II – Circuit Card Assembly Job Description: EDD Test Engineering is involved in the product realization of electrical hardware for defense, commercial, industrial, domestic and foreign purposes. An opportunity exists for an engineer to join our team to support the Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) Center of Excellence (COE) which is responsible for manufacturing test support at our Andover facility. This position requires close cooperation with the Operations team and other engineering disciplines including Product Design, Test Development and Process & Quality Engineering. The individual will be part of the team responsible for the efficiency, effectiveness, capability and capacity of the production test process. Primary responsibilities include supporting test and troubleshooting of Digital, RF and Analog CCAs for Raytheon Missile System products. The chosen candidate will analyze data to determine root cause, generate / update test procedures and interact with design engineering on technical issues relating to the production test process. Additional responsibilities include giving technical direction to bargaining unit personnel as required. The candidate will possess good communication skills and be able to work in a dynamic team environment. Some travel may be required. Position includes the following tasks: Interpreting test requirements and documenting procedures Initiating and/or coordinating Engineering Change Requests and Change Notices to improve factory flow and product quality Collecting, analyzing and presenting test failure data – driving to root cause and corrective action Ensuring hardware requirements are met and processes are followed Assisting manufacturing operators in the test & troubleshoot of production hardware This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO) – an agency of the Department of Defense – handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement. Basic Qualifications Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology Minimum of 4 years test engineering related experience Digital, RF and Analog test / troubleshooting skills Ability to travel as required U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.
