Production Operations Supervisor

This position is in HPE Financial Services (HPEFS) Asset Management division. Asset Management is chartered to maximize the value of returned end of lease or customer owned equipment. A wide range of HPE and third party products such as tablets, desktops, laptops to high-end data center server and storage products are returned to our Andover processing center. Data is removed from the products, products are then reconfigured, tested and prepared for remarketing, and shipped from the facility.

In this position, you will oversee our second shift (3:30 PM to midnight) production operation in our Andover, Massachusetts facility reporting directly to the Americas Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee second shift (3:30 PM to mid-night) production

  • Be responsible for oversight of all aspects during the shift including PC, Enterprise product processing, warehousing and shipping activities

  • Identify areas for operational improvements, (quality and cost opportunities)

  • Ensure product is managed in a secured environment throughout operation

  • Oversee workforce consisting of both HPE permanent employees and HPE contracted personnel

  • Respond to escalations during the shift back off sales operations team and sales team on order status

  • Report metrics on operations of the shift, production and cost

Education and Experience Required:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required

  • At least 4 years of experience working in a large production or manufacturing operation in any capacity, including supply chain, general assembly/production line, or warehouse

  • At least 1 year of people management experience as a supervisor or manager. Experience should include staffing, performance management, shift scheduling

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of basic information technology terminology and concepts including PCs, servers, routing equipment, etc.

  • Demonstrated mastery of basic communication concepts, specifically, written, oral, presentation, listening, and facilitation skills
